1848 Thomas Wood comes to Birstwith to mange 'Greenwoods' Cotton Mill (b.1815, d. 1888)
1860 Rollermills replace 'Stones'
1864 Cotton Mill closes, Thomas Wood takes over Flour Mill
1890 Water Wheel removed, Turbine installed
  Mill becomes FT & G Wood
  Frederick T (FT) Wood goes to work for Uncle at Bishop Monkton & Ripon Mills
  FT returns to Birstwith to join younger brother George, elder brother William goes to Bishop Monkton & Ripon Mills
  George B Wood joins FT at Birstwith with younger brother Freddie, brother Arthur goes to Bishop Monkton & Ripon Mills
  Business becomes FT Wood & Sons
1900 George goes to Pateley Bridge Mill
1901 FT Wood starts to manufacture 'Crisps' or Rusk as it is known today on a Bread & Tea Cake plant
1908 Pateley Bridge Mill closes
1914-18 Bakery reverts back to Bread making for troops stationed in Ripon
1949 Mill site bought from the Greenwood family at the estate sale
  Business becomes FT Wood & Sons Ltd, managed by Ernest and brothers, John (accountant) & Geoffrey (sales)
1954 Thomas Wood starts at the Mill
  FT Wood & Son Ltd sold to Staveley Industries, sold on again to Lucas who become part of Spillers.
1961 George Bland Wood retires age 84!
1970 Turbine removed, water no longer used to power mill
1973 Thomas H Wood leaves Spillers
1974 Thomas H & Kathleen Wood start Ripon Select Foods Ltd
1982 Sarah P Wood joins Ripon Select Foods Ltd
1983 T Martin Wood joins Ripon Select Foods Ltd
1984 Breadcrumb manufacturing plant installed
1991 Battermix production starts
1995 Flour Mill commissioned
2005 T Martin Wood & Sarah P Cooper (nee Wood) become Joint Managing Directors
2006 New Blending Plant commissioned
2008 Thomas H Wood receives MBE for services to the Food Industry & for the local community
